This first section of the Inca Trail is relatively easy, offering a beautiful view of the Veronica snow-capped peak, until we reach the Patallacta archaeological site (2,750 m / 9,022 ft), an Inca construction. We’ll have lunch to recharge and continue to Huayllabamba, where we set up our first campsite.

Day 2: Wayllabamba - Warmihuañusca - Pacaymayo.
After a hearty breakfast, we begin our second day of trekking, facing a great challenge: ascending to the highest point of the Inca Trail, where we’ll appreciate the changing vegetation. This spot, the Warmihuañusca Pass, meaning “Where the Woman Dies” in Quechua (4,200 m / 13,779 ft), is one of the most beautiful.
We’ll be rewarded with a stunning view of snow-capped peaks and Andean landscapes, enjoying a panoramic vista of the surrounding peaks.

Day 3: Pacaymayo - Phuyupatamarca - Wiñaywayna.
After an energizing breakfast, we ascend a steep path to the Runqurakay archaeological site (3,800 m / 12,467 ft). From this point, the trail is paved, showcasing the quality of Inca engineering.
We visit Sayacmarca (3,600 m / 11,811 ft), a beautiful architectural complex. Then, we continue uphill to the first tunnel and keep climbing to the Phuyupatamarca archaeological site, where we begin a descent along a highly attractive path with dense jungle-edge vegetation, rich in flora and fauna.
We then arrive at the Wiñaywayna Archaeological Group, where we set up our third and final campsite.
This is the last night, and we’ll bid farewell to our porters and excursion staff. A small party will be held in the evening to thank everyone for sharing this beautiful experience with the group.

Day 4: Wiñaywayna - Machu Picchu (2,490 m) - Cusco.
