Located 200 km from Cusco, you can enjoy the natural beauty of the Rainbow Mountain at 5,020 meters above sea level, in the Pitumarca district, Cusco, Peru.
The visual spectacle offered by the Seven Colors Mountain, with its slopes and peaks painted in vibrant shades of pink or fuchsia, white, turquoise, red, green, purple, and gold, is protected by the Ausangate Snowy Peak, the fifth highest mountain in Peru.

- This is a mountainous formation tinted with various shades due to the complex combination of minerals. The slopes and summit are painted in various colors (red, purple, green, yellow, pink, and other variations). This tourist attraction was once surrounded by ice and now welcomes hundreds of visitors alongside Machu Picchu, set in a landscape with high Andean camelids such as llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas.
- Red Valley
- The Red Valley is one of the must-visit places in Cusco, located just hours from the city of Cusco. The Red Valley is right behind the Seven Colors Mountain in the Pitumarca district, at an altitude of 5,200 meters above sea level.

- 1st Activity: Start - Cusipata
- To begin another adventure, we pick you up in our private tourist transport from your hotel very early. Then, we head toward the town of Cusipata, where we will enjoy a delicious breakfast to recharge and store the energy needed for the ascent to the mountain.
- 2nd Activity: Trek
- From there, we continue our journey for approximately 40 minutes to the starting point of the hike or trekking, where you have the option to rent horses if deemed necessary. The ascent begins after a briefing with the guide, and the hike lasts about 1 hour uphill, accompanied by our guide. The first part is uphill, followed by flat terrain, and as we get closer, the climb becomes moderate. As we ascend, the air becomes colder but cleaner and purer. Along the way, we will observe a large number of llamas and alpacas. Once we reach our goal, the Seven Colors Mountain or Rainbow Mountain and the Ausangate Snowy Peak, you can enjoy this natural wonder. It’s the perfect setting to give thanks to life and Mother Earth for such beauty and grandeur. Our guide will take the opportunity to explain in detail the orography, ecosystem, and why the mountain has its colors.
- 3rd Activity: Return
- After enjoying and taking many photos, the cold Andean breeze will prompt us to descend, this time through the Red Valley. This path is particularly special because many travelers compare it to walking on the red planet Mars. The descent lasts about 1 hour until we reach Phullawasipata, where our transport will be waiting to take us to enjoy a well-deserved and delicious lunch. Afterward, we will take our transport back to Cusco.
